Fred T. Hervey Low Vision Clinic
Low vision exists when ordinary glasses, contact lenses, medical
treatment, and/or
surgery cannot correct sight to the normal range.
In the Fred T. Hervey Low Vision Clinic, our optometrist works
with clients to maximize use of any remaining sight so they can
still complete many tasks and activities independently. This is done by:
- Performing Low Vision Testing and Evaluations
- Prescribing appropriate optical devices and training in
their use
- Providing support and follow-up, and referrals to other
appropriate agencies and professionals
- Referring individuals to Lighthouse specialized services and
programs
